They met in the Congo, yes, the Congo...which shows you that you never know when and where you will meet your soul mate. Things happen for a reason, I do believe that...and you never know where a decision, a move, a whim might lead you. So, don't be scared, take the chance, make the leap - you might just end up like these two :)
Jeanne and Ryk got married at the lovely Kleinkaap, an outside brunch under the trees, surrounded by people who love them and have travelled from all over to witness their union. Besides the fact that Ryk was dressed at 05h00 in the morning (he might have been excited about getting married ;), everything was relaxed and laid back...just like them. Thank you both - it was a wonderful wedding!!

Big gifts come in small packages - this we learn as girls from a very early age...well, Clinton got himself a very big present :) Heather is tiny, but full of feistiness and spunk, spirit and to top it off, she is gorgeous. Clinton on the other hand is calm and cool, but with a wicked sense of humour. So, between them they make the perfect gift - small package, big rock ;)
A large wedding, lots of family and friends, lots of celebration and love - thank you both for choosing me to capture this lovely day xxx

The Cradle must be one of my favourite wedding venues - if I can't be in the bush, this is as close as it comes :) Add to that a gorgeous couple, a rainfree day and you have wedding photographer hysteria...
Nicole and Jason's day was filled with pockets of laughter and silliness, emotion and tears, everything that makes a wedding special. They love each other, that much is quite clear - he looks at her like she is his best Christmas present ever. And who can blame him - she is sweet, beautiful, clever... and she can dance ;)
Thank you both for a wonderful day - I loved being part of your wedding so much xxx
Johannesburg thunderstorms are wonderful, everything feels clean and fresh afterwards...but on your wedding day, it causes total havoc. We have had some extreme weather the last few weddings, and my brides have had to just go with it and try not to stress. On Sandi and Kevin's day, the clouds rolled in just before the ceremony...everything quickly gets moved inside and the photographer pops out of the ceremony every few minutes to check the dark skies. We ended up with some lovely skies, some very wet grass and a very small window of light...but we managed :)
Sandi and Kevin's happiness is infectious...they were so excited to be getting married, it felt like I was holding my breath the whole day :) It is an amazing experience as a photographer to record that kind of joy. Thank you both for letting me be a part of this very special day - xoxo

Calm...that's what I remember most about this wedding. Some weddings are just crazy, you run around and never seem to stop, the energy is high throughout the whole day. But Goretti and Simon were both very calm and the whole day was relaxed and it felt as if things were happening in slow motion - I'm sure not for them, but it was wonderful for me to be able to take everything in leisurely.
From the bride's preparations to the ceremony, everything was infused with a sense of peacefulness. It was exactly like the two of them, gentle and sweet and lovely. The way they are together is just beautiful to see - and that's one of the best parts of my job, to be a witness to such a sweet love. I am blessed.
Goretti and Simon, thank you for letting us be a part of this beautiful day...
