Info
My style is photojournalistic fine art photography that is creative and classic. I focus on capturing the emotion of the day while always framing with an artistic eye, striving to create memories that are timeless. I do assist with some posing when doing the creative shoot, but try to keep it to a minimum, concentrating more on the genuine, unscripted moments and the unique energy of the couple.
I feel that the most imporant things to consider when choosing your photographer is that you like their style of photography and that you get along well with them as they will be a large part of your wedding day. I therefor ask that you browse through the weddings on the blog to see if my style resonates with you and that we meet so we can get to know each other.
Please have a look on the online calender if I am available on your date. If so, please email me your requirements here and I will mail you all the packages and information. I am available for weddings anywhere in South Africa, as well as internationally.
Booking procedure:
Once I receive your enquiry, I will send you a quote which will be valid for 48 hours. This quote does not guarantee your date as I see more than one couple per date at times. Bookings will only be confirmed once a 50% retainer has been paid, proof of payment has been received and a contract has been signed off. The rest of the fee is payable 7 working days prior to the wedding.
You are welcome to make an appointment to meet with me at the studio to come and view more images, photo book examples or just have a chat. Bring along any images that you might have picked up along the way that defines your style. This is an opportunity for both of us to see if our creative visions match.
Post production:
I spend a lot of time after the wedding ensuring that I create the best possible images for you. All images will go through a basic workflow to improve the quality, e.g. sharpness, colour and tone. Certain key images will be worked on by hand - with these images I improve skin tone, create mood and add effects that will enhance the image artistically to create a striking and romantic portrait.
Timeframe:
Because the post production process consume many hours, your DVD and photo book will be ready between 6 weeks to 3 months from the wedding date. You will be invited to view a preview of your album, at which point minor changes can be made before ordering. The Album is a high quality, coffee table style book with laminated pages in matte or gloss finish, personalised cover and presented in a classical red or black case. Please be aware that I order the books from the USA, so shipping times vary and cannot be guaranteed.
Packages:
My packages are pretty basic as I think the most important thing is the actual images, not the bells and whistles that come with it. Therefore, I do not include keyrings, calendars, etc.
I shoot with a second shooter at most weddings unless it is outside of Johannesburg – I will still try and bring someone along, but you will be informed a few weeks beforehand.
All wedding packages include a pre-wedding consultation. At this meeting we will discuss the flow of the wedding, any creative shoot ideas and both our expectations and requirements on the day. I will mail you a form a few weeks prior to the wedding to remind you of key issues and to get all the last pieces of information that I need.
All packages include travel up to 100km, anything more than that will be charges at R 4.00 per kilometre. Please note that accommodation for myself and an assistant will be required at venues further than 100kms away. All travel requirements will be taylored per individual wedding and discussed at our consultation.
All packages include a blog preview within a week of the wedding, which normally consists of a minimum of 15 images. Images will be of a relatively large size but please note that the quality is not reflective of the images on the DVD. I will email a link to you, please feel free to pass this link along to anyone who might be interested in viewing your preview
