Every family is different, and it changes fast. Kids grow up almost overnight, and the small everyday moments between you are easy to lose if no one stops to capture them.
I photograph families across Cape Town - local families marking a milestone, and visiting families who want to bring home more than photos on a phone. My aim is simple: show your family as you actually are, not posed and stiff, but yourselves.
It's a privilege to spend an hour or two inside someone else's life like that. The candid moments - the ones that aren't planned - are usually the ones people end up loving most.
Studio or Outdoor Family Sessions
Studio sessions work well if you want a clean, simple backdrop with nothing to distract from the people in the frame.
Outdoor sessions make use of Cape Town itself - Signal Hill, Camps Bay, the vineyards outside the city. If you're visiting, it's a good way to get real family photos and see some of Cape Town at the same time.
